I Don’t Know What To Do With My Life
Here’s what I wore out for drinks yesterday. I started with the idea to make an outfit with both my Kenzo skirt and jacket, but in the end I didn’t wear the jacket XD. I did wear two other things from the ‘stuff I never/hardly wear’ pile though. I am starting to realize that that pile is awful big D:. Am so ashamed of myself!
Shirt: used to be my mom’s

Shoes: Plasticland
I used to wear this shirt quite often but then the button popped off and I was too lazy to fix it *sighs*. Actually, I am still too lazy to fix it, but I just wore it with pin buttons:
The first one is an elephant, the second one is kind of a cartoon of the Boekentoren (literally book tower in Dutch). It really is a tower full of books, in my city! Designed by Henri van de Velde.
The yellow shoes are a pair I ordered online and have never worn. When they came, I tried them on and they felt way too small D:. Because returning them would cost me just as much as the shoes themselves (the internet is so tricky!) I decided to keep them and maybe sell them on someday.
Now, I’m glad I was too lazy to actually do that, because I randomly tried them on again and they suddenly seem to fit much better? I wore them yesterday without any problems :D. I wonder if the shoes got bigger, if my feet got smaller or if my perception was just off the day I first tried them on (I’m guessing the last one).
Do any of you ever order shoes or clothes online? I’ve only ever done it with this pair, because yellow heels (which I obviously NEED) seemed impossible to find locally. If you do, have you had mostly positive experiences or do you end up disappointed most of the time?
Your shoes are too adorable! I wanted some yellow shoes as well but since I don’t ever have money to buy something more expensive than 5 Euros I just painted some old ones XD. They look so crappy but I kind of love them. I haven’t worn them on my blog yet, I should!
Anyway, it sounds to me your feet were probably swollen a little because of the heat or somethingwhatever. Glad they fit you now :D

I’m trying not to shop online too much because of the environment; the whole postage thing and all UNLESS it’s indie-made and/or awesome cat brooches with fluff or something :D

I never order shoes online. I have such trouble finding shoes that fit me in real life, I wouldn’t dare try online!! I love this outfit! You look so super fantastic! The yellow shoes are to die for.
I found a black shirt I had given up on as meh the other day, and tried it on again and it was a wow! Weird, how that sort of thing happens. Maybe all women have one “nothing looks good on me/fits day of the month” (or maybe a few!).

Haha, I have yellow sneakers that I painted too XD. I didn’t even manage to paint them evenly so they are totally crappy but that’s okay. I want to see yours now!
I did try them on in the summer, so that’s totally possible. Ack.
I kind of shop online too much, I think D:. But I’m still at the point where I only buy things that I really can’t find locally. I don’t ever buy things online because I’m too lazy to go to the store or anything. But maybe I could think more about ordering lots of things at one time (I already try to, but I could do that more).

I don’t think I’ll do it often either! It is FAR too risky, there are so many things about shoes that can make them uncomfortable to wear.

Aww sorry about the shoes. I do order quite a lot of stuff from online, particulary ebay because there are loads of one of a kind things or stuff for cheaper. Shoes aren’t the wisest thing to buy online, some shoes haven’t been quite right which is really annoying/regretful but others have been fine and I’m glad to have them around.
As for clothes for the most part that goes very smoothly, the only thing I can remember greatly regretting buying (which I was actually wistfully moping about earlier today) was this terrible chiffon secretary type dress I bought a few years ago which was just the wrong shape. I paid quite a lot for it but in the end had to just gave it to charity.
But… I would say the delight factor outweighs the dissapointment factor for the most part!
