Sushi bar song
Today, I wore what is basically a casual version of my first post for this blog. I do love my ridiculously short mushroom dress. A few days ago I saw a girl with a similar dress, but with an owl print! So, so jealous.
Dress: Dari Meya
Skirt: from my aunt
Shoes: New Look
And I tried a new background! Generally, I like it, aside from how it renders my hair nearly invisible.
Also, I realized that I haven’t really gone shopping since… probably November. What happened? Damn you, winter. But I’m looking forward to going to the secondhand market again once it gets a little bit warmer. And we’re going to London during the Easter holidays (just 2 nights) so I’m sure I’ll spend a lot of money there. Maybe I should save up for that XD.
Sunshine!
Both Eline from A Fluffy Blog and Marlena from Self Constructed Freak gave me this lovely award:
Thank you so much :D! So I’m just gonna go ahead and give it back to these girls and to a few other blogs I either recently found or that I’ve been following for a long time!
You go girls! Have a cupcake:
Yes, this weekend I made marshmallow cupcakes with Daphné and though I was going to do an outfit post too that just seemed like too much work! :D So here’s a picture of the dress I was wearing + our cupcakes + my awesomely weird 80s curtains!
I’ll try to wear the dress again soon to give you girls a better look. It’s an old secondhand find and one of the first I was really, really happy with.
Whale brigade
Shirt: Zara
Skirt: H&M
Shoes: Pomme d’Or
Today I decided to wear my beloved “I’m so unique!” shirt because a video I had to watch for class reminded me of it. I bought it in Milan a few years ago because it struck me as funny and appropriate. People occasionally refer to my style as ‘unique’ and that always seems a bit off to me. Like, how is my style more unique than anyone elses?
I think it’s just something that people use when they can’t think of a better word (which is when I use it, yes I have because I am a total hypocrite) and want to say something like ‘interesting’, ‘refreshing’, … Personally, I like to think of my own style as obnoxious but that’s because I just love that word :D.
Not that it’s something that particularly bothers me or anything… Just something I was thinking about.
Brooch: made by Daphné
This ‘Whale Brigade’ brooch was made by my best friend. I wanted to wear it on my skirt, but when I put it on that seemed off. However, on the ear of my (really weird) bunny is fine too, right? :D
I Don’t Know What To Do With My Life
Here’s what I wore out for drinks yesterday. I started with the idea to make an outfit with both my Kenzo skirt and jacket, but in the end I didn’t wear the jacket XD. I did wear two other things from the ’stuff I never/hardly wear’ pile though. I am starting to realize that that pile is awful big D:. Am so ashamed of myself!
Shirt: used to be my mom’s
Skirt: Kenzo (secondhand market)
Shoes: Plasticland
I My Me Mine
Today is casual primary colours day, because I woke up with a small cold this morning (I blame my brother). And anyway, it’s been a while since I did this.
Cardigan: Topshop
Dress: secondhand
Boots: Sacha
Jurassic Park button: I have no idea
I skipped my first class this morning, which is rather unlike me. And I haven’t even read the Shakespeare sonnets I need to prepare for this afternoon. Gah! Have just been so busy.
Cava

Shirt: secondhand
Dress: secondhand
Skirt: secondhand
Boots: Sasha
Ooh, it’s a thrifty day XD. This dress/jumperskirt is the latest in my series of ‘items I never wear’. It’s honestly too short to be comfortable, and I have a hard time finding a skirt that goes under it. This is okay, though not perfect?
Maybe I could just wear it with yellow shorts in the summer…
It was raining today! Though cold and wet, I felt cheered because it reminds me that spring is coming :D. Also, you can not be depressed about rain while wearing yellow rainboots, seriously.
By the way, I got a Chictopia a few days ago. It seems like nice community. Don’t know how active I’ll be yet, I gave up on my Modepass after less than a week XD. But add me if you want!
Seagull Screaming Kiss Her Kiss Her
Apparently, I’m really upping my game here XD. I doubt this one-post-a-day streak will last much longer, but I’ll try to keep updates to at least twice a week from now on. But let’s get to the clothes:
Shirt: old band
Waistcoat: H&M
Skirt: Handmade
Shoes: Camper
I’m actively dragging out old pieces from my wardrobe that I’ve barely/never worn and trying to look at them in a new way. So today I’m wearing my old waistcoat. That I’ve only worn twice: once for school, and once in a pirate dressup.
Mo’ Mo’ Gime’ Mo’
Upper dress: secondhand market
Lower dress: secondhand market
Shoes: Topshop
Look, it’s a layer! I did some thinking over the past few days and decided that rather than letting this blog die due to my own laziness and lack of inspiration, I’d make a bit of an extra effort to get some content in here. I have no idea what, but whatever. I managed to reorganize my closet and get some new ideas for combinations I haven’t done a billion times yet, so there’s hope.
2010 Spring RTW
Okay, so I know I’m way behind with this, but I wanted to do it as sort of a reminder to myself. I’ll just try to be less late with the 2010 fall one XD. And either way, spring 2010 hasn’t even started yet.
I’ll just put a few favourite looks in a thumbnail gallery so people who’ve already seen all of these aren’t too bothered (you can find the designer in the filename):
water fall

Shirt: H&M
Skirt: H&M
Shoes: ?
I blame my lack of updates these past few months on the winter. To be honest, I kind of hate layering (blasphemy, I know!) because it makes me feel really restricted. I guess I’m a summer girl all the way XD.
But whatever, I wore this to go swimming today. It was really nice, the sun came through the windows and the water was warm.
